My friend Paul is very competitive!

Last week we arranged to go ten pin bowling.

Each time I spoke to Mandy (Paul’s wife), she told me that Paul had been practicing bowling in the kitchen and that he had been taking advice off someone who regularly bowls.  Paul had even suggested to Mandy that they go bowling prior to our game so that he could get some practice in.

He can’t stand to lose!

He took every opportunity to call me a loser and told me to prepare to lose prior to our game, which I thought was very amusing considering that this time I wasn’t bantering back as I know that I’m rubbish at it.

If we play scrabble, he cheats to beat me.  He can’t handle losing and this is where our competitiveness comes from.

So, the evening of bowling arrived and myself and Luke, Paul and Mandy played our first game, where I came second and Paul came last.

Haha!

I just couldn’t resist calling him a loser and I wasn’t bothered in the slightest that I hadn’t won the game.  I was pleased that I had beaten Paul!

The final game and Paul absolutely trashed us all!

He won by a mile!

Well played I thought and he didn’t cheat.

We left L.A. Bowl after a fantastic evening and as we drove slowly out of the car park, Paul put the CD player on, turned up the volume and blasted out ‘Another One Bites The Dust’ by Queen.

Paul was singing and pointing directly at me.

We all cracked up laughing and Mandy confessed that Paul had prepared the track earlier on that day just for me in the event that he won.

He’s so funny, but let the future games commence!
