Antony Gormley’s Iron Men at Crosby Photographs
Another Place is the title of Antony Gormley’s 100 iron men statues on the beach at Crosby. The statues are a cast of Gormley’s body and well I can tell you that he’s not been circumcised and he has odd shaped nipples.
It’s a spectacular sight seeing these statues that are life sized and spread out along three kilometres of the foreshore and almost one kilometre out to see.
All of the statues stare silently out to see as if they’re waiting for something to kick start them to life.
I’m sure that me and Luke will return soon to take some more photographs. I quite fancy taking a shot of the waves crashing over the statues, but I didn’t have my tripod with me to attempt it today.
Below are three of my photographs from today’s shoot and although I do have the photographs in colour, I think they are a lot more dramatic when turned black and white. If you would like to purchase an image, simply click on it below.
