I didnât know whether to call this dark portrait of my daughter âKerry the Zombieâ or âDisco Zombieâ, because of the headband she wore and refused to take off.

Vampires or Zombies
What is it about vampires and zombies that interests people and why do some of us prefer one over the other?
Personally, I prefer vampires!
Vampires are mysterious creatures and there is mention of them throughout history and there is always the question, do they exist and in what form?
Vampires from literature have been transformed into dark creatures, some of which are sexually alluring, while few of them are deadly and hated. I like stories that feature erotic vampires that are evil and sadistic and Iâm a big fan of the vampires portrayed in the old Hammer Horror movies.
I canât stand the idea of teenage vampires running around in a high school. I wonât even entertain the idea.
Vampires from folklore are vile, filthy creatures that haunt the living to feed from their energy, whether it be for blood or psychic energy.
There is so much to look at in regards to vampires, but what do we have with zombies?
Zombies are literally the walking dead. They have no sense and they have no charisma. They stumble awkwardly looking for the living to feed on their brains, but for what purpose?
They donât even look attractive!
Correct, they are a creature to be feared from as I wouldnât want to come across one with black bloody gunge drooling down its chin moaning about brains.
Actually, I seen an old man in an old peopleâs home when I was a child visiting my nana and he had some dark liquid spilling from his mouth down his chin. He asked me for a kiss and I ran! He reminds me of a zombie, but I easily escaped.
To me, zombies are just dumb creatures that survive for humans to enjoy blasting to bits. Thatâs what most movies portray and quite frankly, they bore me.
I do have a favourite zombie on Twitter who goes by the name of âTheReal_ZoMbiEâ. He is so damn witty! If you like zombies, he is certainly one character that you must follow.
I invite you to join in on this discussion and tell us all which one you prefer and why as I think it will be very interesting.

Semi-Dead
New Horror-Comedy Web Series, âSemi-Dead,â puts a unique and twisted new spin on the zombie genre.
Los Angeles, CA — âSemi-Deadâ the new horror-comedy web series from student Emmy award-winning writer/producer Chris Wiltz is set to make its debut online via Blip.tv on Oct. 28th 2009.
Semi-Dead Synposis:
Chris and Joe are roommates, both former military, trying to live normal, productive lives in this modern, Internet-dominated worldâŠ
Itâd be a lot easier though, if the city werenât swarming with zombies.
On the plus side, it seems that somebody forgot to turn out the lights and, despite the city being ravaged by zombies, much of the infrastructure remains in tact. For the time being there are still utilities, electricity, gas and even Internet access available. But that doesnât stop this whole thing from affecting the two in wildly different ways. Joe goes into full on survival modeâstruggling to fight against the zombies and sometimes finding rather disturbing and unorthodox ways to survive. Chris however, has suffered some form of PTSD and is living his life as if nothing out of the ordinary has happened.
So, while Joe embarks on an endless quest of survival (so long as he doesnât have to leave too many of the comforts of home behind), Chris continues to go to âwork,â run errands, look for dates, make sure Joe pays the rent on time, and generally maintain his 9 to 5 existence all without ever even noticing the zombies.
But things are not always as they seem and, as Chris and Joe encounter other survivors and gradually stumble onto the truth of what is happening to the city, survival may not be a matter of sanity but rather which one of them is crazier.
The series, completely independently produced, joins the ranks of other zombie-based horror web series, but with a unique twist on the characters and story world never before seen in the genre. This is a show of not only the crazy (and sometimes horrific) extremes two characters will go to in order to survive the zombie outbreak, but also what happens when modern technology (i.e Internet access) is thrown into the mix. Things are not what they seem, and the zombie outbreak wonât be what the characters or the audience first imagine it to be.
The key creative team consists of several young filmmakers (graduates of Chapman University in Orange, CA) whose work has garnered selections and numerous awards and festival accolades at prestigious festivals including the Student Emmy Awards, BAFTA, the DGA, and the Hollywood Film Festival.
The original score is composed by Andrea Chang, a graduate of USCâs prestigious Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television program, who has scored numerous short and feature films as well as animation and video games.
The original theme song is created by Detroit CYDI one of the hottest, up and coming Hip-Hop groups in Detroitâs underground music scene. Their uniquely comedic lyrics and fresh production style are quickly earning them nationwide attention. Most recently they performed as part of the 2009 Vans Warp Tour.
Chris Wiltz is a fellow of USCâs Guy Hawks and Marvin Miller Screenwriting Program (the Cosby Fellowship) â founded by Bill Cosby.
