The Slaughtered Bird Photo Shoot

Stephen got in touch with Amanda regarding the possibility of working together for a photo shoot in order to create new promotional material for their website.

He’s a fan of Amanda’s Gothic horror photography and he knew that she would help bring his ideas to life that would feature a Gothic girl, a slaughtered bird and a spectacular backdrop all in the style of Hammer Horror.  The biggest problem though was finding a slaughtered bird, because, yes we all love horror, but none of us are about to harm any birds for this photo shoot.  Luckily, Amanda’s partner, Mark came to the rescue with his creative attempt of covering a paper mache penguin with black feathers and lots of fake blood.  It looked so stupid, but it actually worked on camera.  Meet the slaughtered penguin below…

Valis Volkova Models for The Slaughtered Bird

Valis Volkova, actress and model who has appeared in the TV show Game of Thrones and FHM, massively supports the guys from The Slaughtered Bird.  They were over the moon when Valis said she could assist with the collaboration and everything came together for a brilliant and fun shoot in Liverpool.  In the shot below, Valis Volkova is wearing one of Amanda Norman’s hand made necklaces that complemented her striking and beautiful look on the day.

Chris and Stephen had met Amanda Norman at previous events and the lads had always shied away from her lens until now.  Amanda captured their souls at last, although admittedly, it wasn’t a horror portrait she got, but one day it will happen and it will be coming soon.
